If you have not already signed up for a time with your homeroom teacher, make sure you do that by the end of the day for conferences! Oct 23rd we will have Food Trucks from 6 - 8pm in the parking lot! R.E.P Rally for 20 REP Bucks is THIS Friday! Make sure you have no referrals from the past two weeks and purchase a ticket in order to attend. For Fun: Over the weekend, I was invited to go to North Georgia to see the difference in the rocks to find the different zones in Georgia (Like piedmont, coastal plains, etc.) The regions depend on what types of rock that are found in that area. It was the geologists job to find the line where the rocks change. We were able to look at a sample of granite called 'corbin' taken from North Georgia. It is VERY rare because it has blue quartz instead of white or clear. It also has LICHEN on it which is a form of chemical weathering. The pictures are below from the trip :)
