Today we went over wind and how it is made! We also took some quick notes on it, and put it into our science folder. Today we turned in our Storm Projects (and they look FABULOUS!!!), we also self-assessed ourselves to see where we may need to make some improvements on our projects. We also went over the data we collected on our Sand and Water Lab prior to the break and completed our conclusion questions. We also watched Bill Nye in order to fill in any other gaps we may have had in our projects:

We also started our 'Storm Books' and collecting information on the causes, effects, fronts, air masses, and where each storm happens the most for Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Thunderstorms, and Blizzards. HW: FINISH YOUR PROJECT!! This is due Monday when we get back from break! Make sure it is done!! Today we had really short classes due to our Mock Writing Assessment this morning. Hopefully you did well on it! Today we took a short quiz over air masses and fronts. We also discussed the greenhouse effect and it's long term effects of climate change. Today we went over air masses and fronts! We watched a quick study jam and even took a look at the weather map to see different types of fronts in action. We also got started on writing our Sand/Water Lab today in class. Make sure you have done this as it is a lot of writing! HW: Study for a possible quick quiz tomorrow! Projects are due 2/27!
Today we were able to work on our projects and also review convection, conduction and radiation. Tomorrow we will be discussing air masses and fronts and will also get started on a lab that we will be completing Thursday.

Today we went over low pressure and high pressure days and what the weather may be like. We also took a short quiz on air composition and air pressure. We also got our project sheets for our storm project and began working on them today. We will have a couple days in class to work on this. Today we went over air pressure and did a quick air pressure lab! Make sure you finished your lab sheet and put it into your folder. We also finished our atmosphere film and finished answering our questions that went along with it. HW: Air Pressure practice Sheet Study for a short quiz tomorrow!
Today we went over air composition and filled out our guided notes for it. We also discussed the differences between weather and climate and did a quick gallery walk to make sure we understood. We also looked at two brainpops (on weather and climate) and filled in a double bubble about weather and climate as well.
