Today we talked about our predictions of what the ocean floor looks like. Some of us said it gently slopes down then goes back up, some said it was flat once it was done sloping. We used this information and compared it to Finding Nemo! We are also in the process of mapping out Marlin and Dory's journey to find nemo on a topographic map to see if it is realistic or not. HW: None :) You can look at this map to help you visualize the journey taken in the movie if you wish. If you signed up to be in my room for Jingle Jam, make sure you bring something to share! (Sprinkles, candy, icing, etc.) I will provide the cookies :) We will be completing a lab that requires play-dough after break, if you would like to donate play-dough you will receive one stamp per container that you donate :)
Today we went over our Unit 5 Test and received our remediation/enrichment. Remember that you must complete your remediation in order to retake your Unit 5 Test. For enrichment, I know that it is very challenging (that is why it is called enrichment!) Below I have posted some pictures to help guide you through the assignment. We watched two different clips and discussed the extent of the problem that we are witnessing on our Earth.
