Today we FINISHED taking the Milestones, yay!!! I hope each and every one of you feel confident in your hard work you've put forth in taking these tests. You all are extremely capable of high scores on these so I am sure that your scores will reflect that :) Today we continued working on our Bloom Globes. Remember that your 2nd Bloom Globe is due THURSDAY when you walk in the door. A lot of you have already started your 3rd Bloom Globe and those are due next Monday. HW: Work on your Bloom Globes Preparing for the future: we will be starting a novel study which will allow you to pick two different novels to read and create a report about. I have listed out the names of each book in case you want to go ahead and order them. I have class sets of some but, you may want your own copy to take home. Today we continued taking our Milestones and were able to go to 3rd, 4th and 5th periods today. We continued working on our Bloom Globes in class.
HW: Work on your 2nd Bloom Globe (due Thursday) Most of you are done with your 2nd Bloom Globe, so work on your 3rd which is due NEXT Monday! Whew, this week has been crazy with testing! Luckily we got a little break today and we will pick back up on testing on Monday. In the meantime, we are working on our Bloom Globes and have moved into our second one. Be sure to put it together before you turn it in and include your name!
HW: Finish you 2nd Bloom Globe, due date changed to THURSDAY! See the previous posts for extra copies if you mess up Today we took the first section of the Milestones and will continue on tomorrow with ELA. Today in class we worked on our bloom globes. 2nd and 4th period were able to turn in their first Bloom Globe and move onto their 2nd one. 1st and 3rd period will turn theirs in tomorrow and begin their 2nd one.
HW: Make sure you have turned in your 1st Bloom Globe! 2nd Bloom Globe is due MONDAY! Today we continued to work on our first Bloom Globe. Be sure that you have answered ALL questions for each panel BEFORE you cut out each circle. Once you have answered everything, cut out the circle on the solid lines, fold on each of the dotted lines, and glue the sides together. The sides do not have to be in a specific order, but each side must match up and be glued to another piece of paper for it to work. Please see the picture below for what the final product should look like. You may also search youtube on how to make a dodecahedron.
HW: Finish your 1st Bloom Globe. This this due by the end of class tomorrow! (1st and 3rd period, it is due when you walk in the door Thursday). Today we turned in our Moon Calendars! We also started our review of 6th grade Science standards. Your first Bloom Globe is due Wednesday, so be sure to work on it. Your 3 Bloom Globes are given to you based on your test scores. Your 3 lowest test grades were looked at and those are the globes you will be given. HW: Work on your 1st Bloom Globe!
Today we worked on our solar system blueprints. Tomorrow we will finish them up since today we didn't have quite enough time to finish.
HW: Finish up collecting information for your group project MOON CALENDAR DUE MONDAY!!! Today you were able to retake your test if you completed your remediation. Since there were a lot of questions about the enrichment assignment, I have given another day to complete it and it will not be counted as a late grade. You also started on your solar system blueprint which we will be working on class tomorrow as well. Make sure you are working diligently! HW: Finish enrichment if you did not turn it in MOON CALENDAR!! This is due MONDAY!
Today we went over our Spring Break packet and turned it in. We also looked at our Unit 8 Test and analyzed our results. We also had a little time to start on our enrichment or remediation. Remember, you MUST have your remediation done tomorrow in order to retake your test. HW: Finish remediation or enrichment MOON CALENDAR!!! This is due MONDAY!
Today we worked on our Spring Break Packet and watched an episode of the Cosmos! We were able to check our work with your peers too. HW: Finish your Spring Break Packet Fill in your Moon Calendar!
