Today we discussed the distribution of water throughout our Earth. We also turned in our watery pies, watched a quick brainpop, and got started on our water conservation posters. How does your family conserve water?
HW: Study for a quick quiz tomorrow Water Cycle Edpuzzle is due MONDAY but already posted for you :)

Today we took our pre-test for Unit 5, and we created 'watery pies'. Remember that these don't need to be EXACT, but do need to be fairly accurate. I have attached my finished version below if you need a reference.
HW: Finish your watery pies Water distribution edpuzzle is due TOMORROW!
Today we took our retakes if you completed your remediation for Unit 4. We also received our Unit 5 Vocabulary, which should look relatively familiar :) HW: Finish your vocabulary if you didn't already in class (yes the pictures/examples need to be colored) Water distribution edpuzzle is due THURSDAY!
Back from Thanksgiving break! We got our Unit 4 Tests back and were able to analyze that data. We also received our enrichment or remediation depending on what we made on our test. Remember that in order to retake your test tomorrow, you must complete the remediation.
HW: Finish your remediation or enrichment Water distribution edpuzzle is due THURSDAY (and edpuzzle is now working again! Yay!)
Today we turned in our Unit 4 Folders and took our Unit 4 test! We also got our word search for our next unit which can be turned in for house points on the 27th. HW: Earthquakes and Volcanoes mapping activity! This is a really cool assignment to see where there are frequent earthquakes and volcanoes in order to see where plate boundaries are located. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break and enjoy the time you have with your loved ones. Make sure to enjoy the yummy food too :) I am thankful for each and every one of you!
Today we reviewed by playing kahoot and turned in our post cards! We also got all of our work back for Unit 4 in order to organize them in our Unit 4 folder to be turned in tomorrow.
HW: STUDY!! Unit 4 Test tomorrow :) Unit 4 Folder is due tomorrow Progress report card envelopes went home today, return the envelope tomorrow and look at your progress report on StudentVue and ParentVue Team Wood shirt order forms and money are due 11/27 Today we got our Unit 4 Quiz 2 back and cleared up any confusions there might have been. We also had a lot of time to work on our three post cards and even got to play a round of the plate boundaries game in some classes. Some of you are getting really good! HW: Finish your post cards Unit 4 Test is FRIDAY Unit 4 Folder is due FRIDAY Turkey grams will be sold only one more day! Team Wood shirts are on sale until 11/27. Forms will go in your envelopes on Thursday
Today we went over our quiz from last week, we also went over our density lab from last week. We took our second quiz for this unit over plate boundaries, and got started on our post card activities. HW: None :) Start getting your Unit 4 Folder in order. Unit 4 Test is FRIDAY and the folder is also due FRIDAY! Team Wood shirts are on sale until 11/27 Progress reports are going home Thursday (actual progress reports are on StudentVue and ParentVue) Turkey grams are $1
Today we turned in our answers for ALL the edpuzzles for Unit 4. It is important that you complete these to review the information we have discussed in class. We also completed our 'snack tectonics' lab where we created multiple types of plate boundaries to see what occurs at each. HW: Finish your snack tectonic lab sheets if you didn't in class Study for a quick quiz tomorrow over plate boundaries! Unit 4 Test is FRIDAY! Dress for success is TOMORROW! Turkey grams are on sale for $1 ECMS Water bottles are on sale for $3 Team Wood t-shirts are on sale until 11/27
A BIG thanks to all my classes for bearing with me as I have lost my voice the past two days. Text to voice software definitely helps in these types of situations. Today we took a quiz over the layers of the earth and continental drift. We also filled in our plate boundary chart on the back of our continental drift notes.
HW: Watch all 4 videos. The plate boundary video has 7 questions, not 9, so make sure you have answered the CORRECT questions for each of the videos. You can put your answers on the same piece of paper, but you need to write out the actual answer for each question. We are still working with edpuzzle, so sorry for the delay! Unit 4 Test is Friday 11/17 Turkey Grams are $1 and will be sold starting on MONDAY Dress for Success is 11/14 Team Wood shirts are STILL on sale. Due date has been pushed to 11/27!

How does fossil evidence support Wegener's hypothesis of continental drift? a. Plants and animal fossils show evidence of changes in Earth's polarity b. Fossil evidence suggests that the continents have always been in their current position c. No similarities exist between fossils on different continents 5. Where is the older crust when looking at a mid ocean ridge? a. Right next to the crack b. Far away from the crack Unit 4 Plate Tectonics from Brittany Dudek on Vimeo.
