Today we learned more about the layers of the Earth. We learned that within the crust and mantle, we can divide the layers into the lithosphere (where we live) and the asthenosphere (which allows us to move). We also took a short quiz and were able to finish up our plates or finish our bar graph homework (for 1st and 3rd period only). HW: Finish bar graph (1st and 3rd period only) Remember to finish your textbook work tomorrow and if not, take you textbook home over the weekend.

Today we were able to use our chart to complete proportions for a scale model of the Earth's layers. We found out that since our plate is 23 cm across, that would make our crust 0.09 cm, our mantle 5.3 cm, our outer core 3.98 cm, and our inner core 2.1 cm.

Today we were able to retake our Unit 5 test. Grades are already updated in StudentVue, so be sure to check those out. We also were able to do a peer review of our essays. This was a great way to look deeper at our writing to understand how others may be reading our own writing. We also got our Unit 6 Vocabulary which should look familiar :)
