Today we made our ocean floor foldable to prepare for our 3D model tomorrow using play-dough! Make sure you actually study your foldable and look at it tonight as you will not be able to use it tomorrow while making your model.

Today we took a short pop quiz on the ocean locations and a few facts we learned on Monday and Wednesday. Overall awesome job! We also went over the ocean floor features, and even did another game to practice what each looks like. HW: Desalination Sheet (this is not due until Monday) Please bring play-dough to donate for our projects next week! Space Camp Leaves TOMORROW!! Make sure you give your parents the pink handout about logistics tomorrow so they are aware of how the next two days will roll.
Today we had a quick overview of the oceans. We took notes on our Oceans Guide, watched a quick brainpop, and were able to compete by playing an oceans game. Today we had a visit from Bill Waggner from the Georgia Mineral Society! He gave us a great preview of rocks and minerals, which we will learn about in our last couple units of the year.

Welcome back to school! Hope everyone had a restful and joyful holiday break. I know that it was much needed, and you came back ready to tackle the last half of 6th grade. Today we mapped out the five main oceans. We looked at their size, depth, and salinity in order to see how they compare to one another.
