Today we went over igneous rocks! We were able to fill out a portion of the 'Rocks and Basic Rock Cycle Guide' to keep in our Unit 2 folder, and we were able to complete an Igneous Rock Lab where we looked at many different igneous rocks to see if we could figure out which one was which! We used texture, color (mafic or felsic), and knowledge of how the different types of igneous rocks form in order to determine our answers. HW: Finish your lab sheet if you haven't already. Make sure to bring your things in order to work on your project in class tomorrow (we are going to the computer lab) Study Igenous rocks!!
Today we completed the study jams in class (since it was not working on most computers at home). We also got our project sheets for our next project. We will work on it twice in class next week in the computer lab so don't try and get it all done this weekend and stress! It is due October 3rd. Please look at the project post below for further details and resources.
