Today we were able to go to the computer lab and work on our 'Rocky Trip Through Georgia' project! Hopefully you were able to get a lot done. Tomorrow we will be in the computer lab again to work on it, but it will be the last time we have time to work on it in class, so make sure you get most of it done! Remember, it is due October 3rd! You must have at least two specific rocks that you find in each region and you must explain how it is formed and why you think you found it there. (It may be helpful to look at a georgia geological map to see what types of rocks are found in each region for this part)
Here is a link I have found that is AMAZING for rock locations: https://mrdata.usgs.gov/geology/state/map.html?x=-83.453389866478&y=32.653406156776&z=8 And the homepage: https://mrdata.usgs.gov/geology/state/state.php?state=GA Here is the key or legend that goes with the above link: https://mrdata.usgs.gov/catalog/lithclass-color.php HW: STUDY for Igneous rock quiz tomorrow
