Today we were able to get our lockers! If you didn't bring a combination lock and you have a homeroom on 6B, you need to bring one tomorrow! We also had team talks in 1st period, so 1st period will be able to do a lab tomorrow. The rest of the classes were able to get to the bubble gum lab. HW: Finish your Bubble Gum Lab Sheet! (1st period, don't worry about it!) Make sure you have watched both of your EdPuzzle Videos by now!

Good job today persevering in the Gizmo in the computer lab. I think that the exploration of the triple beam balance will help in the lab for everyone on Monday. We will be completing a lab that will help us walk through the scientific method on Monday.
HW: Bring GUM (yes, gum) for the lab on Monday. You will need 6 different flavors in your group, but you should be good just bringing a couple strips for yourself or to trade with others. Finish your Spongebob Lab Sheet Finish watching the Lab Safety Edpuzzle Video Your Lab Safety Project is due WEDNESDAY ** A lot of you have not turned in your learning styles activity. Make sure you do this on Monday as this was due TODAY! It is also at the bottom of this post if you need to print out another one. Here are your directions for the computer lab today:
1. Go to www.explorelearning.com and click on 'login' at the top right side of the screen. You will need to log in using the following information: Username: 6BScience Password: ecms You need to complete the 'Triple Beam Balance' Gizmo today, so click on LAUNCH GIZMO next to it. Complete your gizmo sheet and turn it in at the end of the class. 2. You will need to complete your next edpuzzle video! Go to www.edpuzzle.com and log into your account. If you haven't made an account yet, see Ms. Dudek. When you log in, you should see your next video, 'Lab Safety', complete it now. 3. Work on your lab safety rule project! 4. Explore the website under the ‘Science Resource’ page. Click on geology and explore a few games! 5. Complete your SpongeBob sheet for homework! Today we were introduced to our first project! The hand-out is attached to this entry if you need another copy. We also completed three different stations today were we made holograms for our phone, a toothpick lab, and even learned our learning styles! HW: If you didn't finish your learning styles sheet, complete this for homework. Start working on your project (due WEDNESDAY!), Bring headphones or earbuds for the computer lab tomorrow, and make sure that you have viewed your 1st edpuzzle video. Today we completed a get to know you activity where we answered questions about ourselves. We used this information to transfer it to a circle map, which should be completed for homework. We also got our syllabus for science today too! HW: Complete Circle Map about yourself (remember the green frame for sources and the red frame for explaining why this information is important). Get your syllabus signed as well! Your 1st Edpuzzle video is due FRIDAY!
Today we went over how to REP when arriving at school and we were also able to make some classroom rules and name four of the fish we have in class! We also started completing our warm-ups in our journal today, so make sure that you have a notebook ASAP if you haven't already gotten one. HW: Get your PINK Lab safety contract signed tonight! You should have already gotten your Flipped Classroom Guidelines signed and also the forms from homeroom signed. Make sure you make a sign-in for Edpuzzle as well. Your 1st video is due Friday!
