Happy Friday! Today we took notes on the moon, watched a few brainpops, and reviewed with our oreo moon lab. HW: Finish your Oreo Moon Lab questions p. 128-137 in your textbook for the few that needed to complete it in 4th period
Today we did a quick moon phase lab to see how the moon phases change throughout the month. We also did some moon practice and took some notes on solar and lunar eclipses! HW: Make sure your notes and lab sheets are done! Moon Calendar!
Today we went over our 'reasons for the seasons' review sheet and went ahead and took our seasons quick quiz. We also looked at the difference between rotation and revolution and also what they have in common. We then also did a seasons challenge to see what other planets have seasons. HW: Finish your seasons challenge sheet (2nd and 4th period) Moon Calendar!!
Today we finished up our Seasons lab by filling out our analysis and conclusion sections by using our RACE strategy. We then were able to practice 'the reason for the seasons' and watch Bill Nye explain seasons a little better for us. HW: Study! We have a quick quiz over seasons tomorrow Make sure your lab and your 'reason for the seasons' sheet is finished and turned in
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Thursday we completed a section on 'seasons' in our textbooks, then Friday we transferred that knowledge into a chart. We went over that chart today and we worked on our Seasons Lab Graphs. If you did not finish, make sure you do so this evening! HW: Finish Lab Graphs
Thank you all for all the birthday wishes today, you guys are so sweet! Today we had a guest speaker come and speak to us about the importance of conserving and point source pollution. Tomorrow you will need your textbook so make sure you bring it to class if it isn't already in the cabinet in the back of the room.

Today we were able to take our retakes for Unit 1 if you finished your remediation. We also got started on our Unit 2 Vocab. If you did not finish, make sure you get it done for homework! HW: Finish Unit 2 Vocab (this is the first thing in your folder for Unit 2)
Today we took our Unit 2 Pre Test and looked at our Unit 1 Test Scores! The grades are already in the gradebook so make sure you check that out. If you received below an 80% and you are in 1st or 3rd period, you will complete remediation. If you received below a 70% and you are in 2nd or 4th period, you will also complete remediation. If this does not apply to you, then you will complete enrichment for Unit 1 :) *Enrichment is suppose to be a CHALLENGE, try it! Effort is what counts, do not give up HW: Make sure you get your remediation done in order to retake your Unit 1 test on Monday (if this applies to you!)
