Today we started our FIRST project: Design your Own Planet! The only requirement is that life must be able to live on your planet. So think about how your planet can sustain life and what characteristics a planet must have in order to do this. HW: Work on your Planet Project (due 9/5) Unit 1 Test and Folder will be on THURSDAY Progress reports go home next week so make sure any missing work is turned in

Happy Early Release! Today we made a scale model of the solar system outside. How crazy is it to see how far apart the outer planets are compared to the inner planets?! Tomorrow we will continue with Unit 1 to prepare for our test next week. HW: Finish "Stepping into the Solar System" Unit 1 Test is scheduled for next Thursday
Today we took some quick guided notes over the solar system, even learned if there is gravity in space or not, and took a quick quiz. Tomorrow we will be going outside so dress accordingly! HW: None, just check your grades! Progress reports are coming out next week Here is the link we went over yesterday: http://joshworth.com/dev/pixelspace/pixelspace_solarsystem.html
Today we got to go into the STAR LAB! We were able to look at the different planets in our solar system, and even constellations. We also had a quick four question ticket out the door, to see if we were ready for our quiz tomorrow. HW: Study for a quick quiz tomorrow!
Today we had our first in class project and presentation! We were assigned a planet and were able to research information along with our group. Happy Monday! Today we took our 1st set of guided notes on heliocentric, geocentric, and the big bang theories. We also watched a couple brainpops to gauge if we understood the material we learned today, as well as completed a quick 'cosmic address' assignment. HW: Gravity/Inertia Edpuzzle due WEDNESDAY
