Today we took our Unit 6 Test and turned in our Unit 6 folders. The grades are updated in the gradebook, so make sure you take a look at that. We also got our Word search for our next unit on natural resources and minerals. Remember you can turn these in for house points.

Welcome back! Today we continued our understanding of plate boundaries by writing post cards from different areas around the world. We were to chose 3 places, but one must be formed by a divergent boundary, one convergent, and one transform. HW: Finish your post cards! Remember the required information that must be included in your note, and your picture and stamp must be colored (don't attach an actual stamp)
Today we went over the different types of plate boundaries and how they form different landforms on our Earth's crust. We also filled out a chart to help us remember our boundaries as well as played a quick game! Today we had our snack tectonics lab. We were able to make 5 models using different types of 'crust' to see what would form. If you did not finish your chart, make sure you do that for homework. HW: Finish lab chart if you didn't in class STUDY! We will have our Unit 6 Test after our break
Today we looked at density and how it plays a role in Earth's Layers. We completed a lab together using the density of basalt, granite, iron, nickel, quartz, and aluminum to see where they would be located within Earth's layers. Today we went over the theory of Continental Drift and Pangaea. We took some notes and also were able to act like Alfred Wegner and use magnets to piece Pangaea together. We took this information in order to make our own model too! HW: Finish Pangaea Model Plate Boundaries Edpuzzle and Plate Tectonics Edpuzzle due WEDNESDAY Field Trip forms are due March 1st along with $20!
