Today we turned in our theories and discussed the different types of galaxies. We also had a small challenge to find where our solar system would be located in the school if East Cobb were the Milky Way Galaxy :) HW: Finish reading your galaxy article and answer the questions Study for a quiz tomorrow! Today we discussed early theories of the universe. We talked about geocentric, heliocentric, the Big Bang Theory, and even the steady state theory. There are many theories about how the universe created, so we decided to create our own! HW: Finish creating your theory of how the universe was created (this doesn't have to be true, but it does need to explain why we see different things in our sky during different seasons and different times of day)
Today we went over the reason for the seasons!! We filled in a visual organizer explaining the four seasons, watched a study jams, took a quick review with brainpop and even a challenge. We also discussed the differences between rotation and revolution.

Today we retook our Unit 7 test (if your remediation was completed over the weekend). We also got our Unit 8 Vocabulary to complete. You should start studying these words and think about how they all tie together. We also received our moon calendar project that should start TONIGHT!!! Today we took our Astronomy Pre-Test (last unit!), we also took a look at our test yesterday, saw what we got wrong, and received our remediation or enrichment. If you made below an 80%, you will have the chance to retake your test Monday if you complete your remediation. HW: Finish remediation/enrichment Study if you are retaking the test Get grade reports signed by a parent/guardian if Ms. Dudek gave you one today
Today we took our Unit 7 test and it was challenging! You will have a chance to look over your test tomorrow to see what questions you answered incorrectly. Grades have already been placed in the gradebook so make sure you look. Congrats to Jiyeon and Hamsika for getting a 98%!!! Today we cleared up some confusions about air masses, fronts, sea breezes and land breezes. We also played Kahoot in order to prepare for our test tomorrow and received ALL of our graded work back.
HW: STUDY!!! Unit 7 Test TOMORROW and Unit 7 Folder is due tomorrow, make sure you are getting your papers in order Today we reviewed Unit 7 by completing our escape room! This one was a little more challenging but I think everyone got the hang of it a little better since we have already completed a similar activity.

We also reviewed for our test by taking our Pre-Test again to see how we improved. Tomorrow we will be doing a quick lab in order to review for our test as well :)
