Today we went over our greenhouse effect and global warming double bubble along with the two brainpops. We also heard from Ian Stewart as he travelled around the atmosphere today! HW: Study!! Chik-Fil-A 6th grade night is MONDAY! Go visit Chik-Fil-A at East Lake and let them know you're there for Clash of the Classes, 6th grade, for our Foundation to receive a percentage of proceeds.

Today we took our Unit 3 pre-test, got our Unit 2 test back for corrections, then received enrichment or remediation. Enrichment: Remember to complete the math connections sheet as well as the following contest entry: Continued Enrichment Unit 2: Your challenge is to name NASA’s next Mars rover. Submit your rover name and a short essay (maximum 150 words) to explain the reasons for your selected name. It may NOT be your name. The Mars 2020 rover will seek signs of past microbial life, collect surface samples as the first leg of a potential Mars Sample Return campaign, and test technologies to produce oxygen from the Martian atmosphere to prepare for future human missions. Today we explored tides a little further and completed a gizmo to see when spring and neap tides happen during the month. Remember that high and low tides happen every single day, but spring and neap are the two extreme tides that each happen twice a month. HW: Study!
