Today we went over our weathering, erosion and deposition scavenger hunt. I hope that this helped you grasp and understand the difference between the three! Today we discussed soil conservation and soil composition. How does your family take care of their soil at home? We also finished up our scavenger hunt around campus. Hopefully you were able to at least take your 8 pictures in order to finish your sheet that goes along with this assignment. HW: Finish your scavenger hunt! Today we got our quizzes back and went over our two tree maps again. Make sure you STUDY these EVERY night! They will both be on your test at the end of the unit. We also finished up our stations today.

Today we had early release so we only had time to take our quiz today. Those grades will be in the gradebook later on this evening. 3rd period will take their quiz tomorrow :)

Today we reviewed erosion from yesterday. We also discussed deposition and the landforms that are created from this process. We played a quick matching game, watched Bill Nye, and got to play our weathering, erosion and deposition game. Some of us even learned a song to help remember the difference between the three processes. HW: Study! Quick weathering, erosion and deposition quiz tomorrow GO TO CHIK-FIL-A TONIGHT!! Today we reviewed weathering and took a short quiz on that topic. We also dove into erosion, and learned about the four causes of this geological process. We also watched a quick brainpop and made our erosion tree map.
HW: Watch the deposition edpuzzle GO TO CHIK-FIL-A TOMORROW ANYTIME! Make sure you mention that you are in 6th grade at East Cobb and the proceeds will come back to our school. The grade level that earns the most money will get free breakfast on Friday!
Today we discussed weathering and ALL the different components of this. We took notes, watched a brainpop on weathering, and created our weathering tree maps. AC Classes were able to work on their Rock Cycle Stories as well.

Today we continued our journey through the rock cycle. Some of us were able to finish our stations and work on our comic, and some of us finished our comic. AC classes will begin their story tomorrow if they haven't already done so. HW: Finish Journey through the Rock Cycle Comic Weathering Edpuzzle due TOMORROW!! Chik-Fil-A Spirit night for 6th grade is October 10th!! Meet at the Chik-fil-A on Roswell road at 5:30. The more 6th graders, the better chance we have of earning free chik-fil-a breakfast next Friday!
